Nokia Siemens Networks has signed a co-situation transaction with Pirelli Broadband to accelspeed up its its registration into the 3G femtocell market, .
The do business will see Pirelli’s femto-enabled Multiplay apparatus coupled with NSN’s welcoming comfortable with access software with the object being to assign operators to introduce femtocell-based services to home base and small office environments.
The Pirelli Multiplay whomp offers broadband support as a remedy for ADSL2+, VDSL2 and FTTH, together with the performers’s Epicentro middleware and applications platform. Pirelli said that its Epicentro software manages the co-presence of 3G handsets with Pirelli’s access gateway, IPTV set top chest and 3G femtocells.
Separately, ABI Research claimed that vendors attempting to ramp up the sales of 3G femtocells will only experience limited break of dawn success with just 100,000 units being prediction to ship this year.
